And Then Some Publishing recently released Relationship Rules. This book is great for anyone contemplating, currently in, or thinking about forming a relationship. Yep, that's just about everybody. It is not theoretical or philosophical; rather, it is to the point and practical. It offers tips, suggestions, and ideas based on my background of writing a successful book called, Understanding Interpersonal Communication — a college textbook that went through seven editions. Buy the book at Amazon.com.

And Then Some Publishing, LLC, is proud to announce the publication of Civilian In an Ill-Fitting Uniform: A Memoir of World War II, by Edgar E. Willis. The reviewers of the book have said it is outstanding. You don’t have to be a veteran of any war to enjoy it. The insights within it are interesting, entertaining, and even provocative. If you have any interest in history, you will find this book totally captivating.

Have you seen the new video? Edgar E. Willis breaks down humor. Sure it's from 1995, but the knowledge contained herein is indispensable. It's the first video in a five part series dissecting the intricacies of humor. Watch Edgar's video, How to be Funny on Purpose: An Anatomy of Humor.

Thursday’s essay is called, “We’re Cruising Again.” This was our 9th cruise, and we completed it in 2009. In this essay we share some information about cruise luggage — as you can see from the excerpt below. There are suggestions for cruising that are both practical and economical. It is worth a read just for the suggestions included — especially if you haven’t cruised before..

Thursday's And Then Some Essay preview:
We're Cruising Again
by Richard L. Weaver II

Excerpt:

When visiting the deck where our former/original room was located, we watched (witnessed is more like it!) luggage being distributed by the ship’s handlers, to the various floors. It was one of the most eye-opening, amazing, spectacles we have ever witnessed on our cruises. Luggage is brought to the floor by elevator, then handlers literally throw the bags from the elevator into a large pile in the lobby. How and where the bags land is irrelevant: the sole goal of the handlers is speed — getting those bags off that elevator so it can return to the lowest floor and gather more. There is no concern of any kind for the care or safekeeping of customer luggage.
